Until then, a little about us.

Boulevard: Bou"le*vard`\, n.
A public walk or street.

Abbey: nAb"bey\ ([a^]b"b[y^]), n
A society of persons devoted to intentional spiritual practice.

Blvd Abbey is a faith community in Uptown San Diego, serving the neighborhoods surrounding the ‘Blvd’s’ of Park & El Cajon. We come from diverse life experiences, yet together are discovering how to follow God in the Way of Jesus; loving God- heart, soul, mind, and strength- and loving others. Many of us feel disconnected from the 'church'... we're finding new (yet ancient) ways to practice faith, in community, for the good of others.

Gathering Sunday Nights, 6pm...
@ The Park Gallery (4329 Park Blvd San Diego, CA)

"EVERYDAY Spirituality, WITH Each Other, FOR Our Neighborhood."
(Our Community DNA)
EVERYDAY - WITH - FOR

EVERYDAY
Together, we embrace an 'EVERYDAY Spirituality'- through spiritual rhythms & practices, finding the inter-connections between everyday life and God’s transforming Kingdom life. We value a holistic view of spirituality and discipleship.

Christ said; "Learn the unforced rhythms of grace… Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." -Matthew 11:28 (The Message)

WITH
We do this, 'WITH Each Other'- striving to be a community of hospitality & generous friendships... listening, embracing, growing, and serving together.

“All the believers were together and had everything in common… They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts…” -Acts 2:44, 46

FOR
All of this, while being rooted in & 'FOR Our Neighborhood.' In other words, we value incarnational presence. We strive to listen for God outside the walls of church, and see ourselves as sent for the good of others... in our city and world, starting right in our own lives and neighborhood.

“seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you…”
-Jeremiah 29:7 (TNIV)

Gathering Sunday Nights, 6pm...
@ The Park Gallery: 4329 Park Blvd San Diego, CA
(Near the corner of Park & El Cajon- Parking available in the 'Fellowship Church' lot)

Most Sunday nights we gather together in a simple community rhythm (what some call a 'liturgy')... our gatherings are very interactive, relational, and conversational.
We are not focused on being a 'full service,' program oriented church. But all are welcome to come and participate.

Once a month we have a community dinner.

And we meet at various other times: to serve our city, and just do life together.

With C4SO, we strive to cultivate healthy spiritual communities, continuing an ancient story of faith, while being rooted in- & being a Kingdom presence for good- in each community's unique context.

Sunday Night- 'Love is Free' Film!

Sunday Night we will be showing the film 'Love is Free' and having a discussion with film-maker Drew Daniels.

Drew spent 40 days as a homeless person on the streets of Chicago, and is now touring the coast (on his bicycle!) talking about the experience and advocating for those who live on the streets.

Come by and invite a friend or two!
